So I am new to this whole blogging thing. I know that it’s been around for a while but I’ve only recently had the urge to do blogging of my own. I’ve wondered what exactly am I supposed to blog about? So like many others of my generation I Googled it ha! So the first thing that pops up in the search engine is the “For Dummies” website so that’s the one I clicked. Here’s the link http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-choose-what-to-blog-about.html The first thing this particular article discusses is choosing a topic that genuinely interests you, which could prove to be a lot of things for me, GREAT, but the writers suggest picking one topic and sticking to it. The next two headings address off-limit topics (which is important!) and your potential audience (also equally important as any good writer will tell you). Then the article moves on to what topics have had successful followings, some of these include Mommybogging (Moms writing about their kids), personal hobbies or interests, technology (of course), politics (who would have guessed?), news, and personal diaries (not likely what mine will be though some aspects might come through some of my posts - my life tends to be boring - I’m a senior in college, my middle school students tell me I’m old and I thought 22 relatively young, come to find out Taylor Swift has made it “hip” to be 22 though haha!) So what shall I blog about? At this point it remains to be seen, but here’s to hoping inspiration strikes soon…
